Brown University (David Winton Bell Gallery)

The David Winton Bell Gallery at Brown University will improve its ability to inventory, track, maintain and facilitate the use of its art collection with an updated collections management database. Searchable records will ensure improved access and stewardship to Brown’s art collections, and successful completion of this year-long project will result in increased use of the collections by faculty, students and public users. The new collections management database will document histories and updates regarding object care and aid in exhibition planning. As a digital resource, the database will also encourage academic engagement with the collection and experiential learning for students.
