County of Sheboygan (Sheboygan County Historical Museum)

Identified as part of a Museum Assessment Program (MAP) report, the Sheboygan County Historical Society and Museum will inventory and document two-thirds of the museum’s collection through recording critical object data and processing recent acquisitions. Capturing the history of Sheboygan County’s inhabitants, the permanent collection contains objects spanning the entire development of Sheboygan County, dating from 10,000 B.C.E. to the present. The museum will hire a collection assistant to catalogue and re-house the materials, which will lead to greater accessibility to objects for both the public and museum staff through improved digital records and increased use of objects within exhibits.
