Arlington Historical Society

The Arlington Historical Society will undertake a project to completely inventory, digitize, and rehouse 1,352 objects that are currently the most at risk for potential collections management issues. This subset of the museum's collections includes all framed works on paper, paintings, and locally significant objects. The historical society will use funds to purchase and install rolling shelving units, which will increase storage capacity and alleviate overcrowding of collections. Digitized items and their associated metadata will be added to the museum's collections management system and uploaded to an online platform permitting increased access for educators, researchers, and the public.
