Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden

The Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden will develop and implement two mobile platforms that enable visitors to use their smartphones to participate in a mobile tour and a scavenger hunt activity to encourage lifelong learning and increase participatory interpretation. The project will involve staff time to adopt two different mobile platforms, create sign materials, and acquire tablets to ensure visitors without smartphones can also access the activities. The museum will develop content highlighting the features of unique plants and trees found within its living collections. Curated tours will include quiz and trivia elements that will build knowledge of plant life and other useful information, while scavenger hunt activities will be more hands-on and investigative and will be developed for different age groups.
