Northwestern Michigan College (Dennos Museum Center)

The Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College will address the issue of overcrowding in their collections storage area which was identified through a 2020 Museum Assessment Program (MAP) report. Project activities include purchasing five high-density art racks which will rehouse 17 large paintings—ranging from 20th century American works to those by British and Indian artists. The primary results will be an increase in storage space for future acquisitions, the reorganization of oversize works, and all of the paintings will be cataloged and their new storage locations reconciled in the museum’s collections management system.
