Orion Township Public Library

The Orion Township Public Library will use grant funds to purchase an environmentally sound storage unit for historical items donated to the library by late local historian James Ingram. The objects, including two wooden canes hand carved by noted carver Michael Cribbins, two bells, and a pocket watch, require protection from environmental hazards such as light, dust, and fluctuations in temperature and humidity. The funds will help Orion Township Public Library create an adequate permanent storage solution to protect the considerable monetary, historic, and symbolic value of these items.
