North Scituate Public Library Association

The North Scituate Public Library Association will use grant funds to restore a nineteenth-century oil-on-canvas portrait of Jonah Titus, who resided in Scituate, Rhode Island, and served as lawyer, town moderator, justice of the peace, representative in the General Assembly, and candidate for attorney general for the Suffrage Party. The work will include replacing missing pieces and regilding the frame, cleaning, and repairing a tear and a puncture in the painting itself.
