University of Portland (Clark Memorial Library)

The University of Portland will conserve, preserve, and display five paintings that will support its liberal arts education program. Following conservation treatment of the five pieces, they will hang as a display of American Art in the Clark Memorial Library, where they will be available for viewing by university students and faculty as well as by the general public. Individualized treatment for each work of art will follow a 2010 Conservation Assessment Plan, which includes such treatments as cleaning, flattening, crack repair, inpainting, restretching of the canvas, and varnishing.
