Minnetrista

Minnetrista will use grant funds to conserve five George A. Ball scrapbooks, each containing more than 200 pages of historic materials. George Ball was one of five brothers who founded a turn-of-the-century industrial company, which produced the iconic Ball home canning jars. Spanning from 1888 to 1950, the scrapbooks contain valuable photographs, documents, and personal correspondence intended as primary source material for an upcoming research and planning project that will create vibrant new visitor experiences at Oakhurst, the historic home of the George A. Ball family.
