City of Lakewood (Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park)

The City of Lakewood, Colorado will use grant funds to remove approximately four thousand photographs and negatives from improper housing material and re-house them in appropriate archival sleeves, folders, and boxes. The images depict significant places in Lakewood, such as the original Belmar Estate and May Bonfils-Stanton Mansion, as well as events in local and national history, such as President Eisenhower's visit to the Lakewood Federal Center. Heritage Center staff will also simultaneously catalogue and add record information to the museum's cataloging system.
