Chrysler Museum of Art

The Chrysler Museum will improve conditions in its main collection storage area for small- and medium-sized paintings by installing moveable storage screens. The project will ensure that the museum meets the long-term preservation needs of all the paintings in the collection by storing them in safe, environmentally sound conditions. In addition, the new storage arrangements will allow for grouping the works by medium, date, and place of origin, thus improving their accessibility for study, display, and loan. Access will be further enhanced through a new online collection database that will be made available through the museum's Web site.
