Philadelphia History Museum

The Atwater Kent Museum will use its grant to help fund a multi-phase project to create and outfit a climate-controlled space for on-site storage of prints, photographs and paper ephemera. The project will furnish an exhibition preparatory area, transport materials to an off-site storage facility during construction and rehouse them in the new facility. The project, when complete, will improve the long-term preservation of nearly half of the museum's material culture collection, which reflects the city history of Philadelphia.
