To purchase and install new compact shelving to properly rehouse the museum's Rare Book Collection. Also to purchase a micro-environmental system to mitigage existing temperature and humidity problems. The Rare Book Vault houses 6,869 rare books, 5,249 journal volumes, 214 manuscript lots, and 1,004 audiotapes.
