To treat the Weare Press Cupboard (1685-1690), the most important piece of New England furniture in the museum's collection and highest priority for treatment. The press was commissioned by Nathaniel Weare, colonial representative to England, and later owned by his grandson, Meshech Weare, the first governor (1776-1785) of New Hampshire.
