Maine Historical Society

To conduct a detailed condition survey of the Society's three largest, most significant, and most complex archival collections-manuscripts, architectural and engineering drawings and maps, and photographs. Also, to rehouse the fragile bound volumes in the manuscript collection. The Society's library collections, with material of local, regional, national, and international research value, document Maine's social, economic, religious, political, and cultural history from the 17th through the 21st century.
