To conduct a detailed condition survey of the contents of the Roger Brooke Taney House, the 1790 home of Chief Justice Taney, who served on the U.S. Supreme Court from 1836 to 1864. Taney owned the home from 1815 to 1823 while he was practicing law in Frederick County.
