Elvehjem Museum of Art

To conduct a detailed condition survey of 370 modern and contemporary paintings from the permanent collection of over 16,000 works of art. A portion of the works to be surveyed include 19th century paintings, the majority of which are American and include a Hudson River Valley view by William Louis Sonntag, a small-scale boating scene by Albert Bierstadt, an oil sketch by Sanford Robinson Gifford, tonalist works by Blakelock and Inness, and Impressionist-inspired scenes by Walter Griffin and John Henry Twachtman.
