Hi‘ipaka, LLC

Hi‘ipaka, LLC in Haleiwa, Hawaii, will organize a series of cultural community events for diverse audiences in the Waimea Valley, a cultural preservation site with archaeological sites, botanical gardens, and native and endangered birds. Hi‘ipaka-sponsored walking tours, school programs, workshops, and Hawaiian cultural demonstrations at the Waimea Valley have been cancelled since the onset of the pandemic. In 2022, Hi‘ipaka will develop and deliver five new events that help the community safely gather and recover from the pandemic, featuring a hula exhibition and lei-making contest, Hawaiian language and music, and an heirloom plant workshop. Hi‘ipaka will promote the events widely to encourage participation by native Hawaiian residents of Oahu as well as visitors from neighboring islands and around the world.
