Log Number: ARPNA-250533-OMLS-22

The Hula Preservation Society in Kaneohe, Hawaii, will expand its digital literacy tools and online services to build digital literacy among its patrons, such as by creating and sharing 10 new digital products online. The society will create nine video-based tutorials (each 5 to 10 minutes in length) on topics such as how to use the society’s oral history tools and transcripts and its database repository for research purposes. The society’s YouTube channel will host videos of the tutorials, and a new tutorials channel will be created on the society’s Vimeo site. A new digital resource guide will facilitate users’ quick, effective, and responsible use of all of the society’s online materials. These efforts will address a need clarified during the pandemic to strengthen and expand online services and digital literacy tools in support of the community.
