Cleveland Museum of Art

Log Number: ARPML-251062-OMLS-22

The Cleveland Museum of Art will restore its capacity to engage K–12 students and teachers at the museum, in the classroom, and virtually to meet the needs of students during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Museum staff will help develop and facilitate object-based learning opportunities for children, adolescents, teens, and their teachers to connect with the museum, its encyclopedic permanent collection, and the rare accessibility these remarkable resources offer. The museum will provide in-person gallery explorations tours and an Art-to-Go program, which provides hands‐on presentations that bring authentic art objects from the museum’s Education Art Collection into schools and classrooms, enabling students to see and touch objects up to 4,000 years old. The museum also will create live videoconferencing that allows students to explore art and artifacts from around the world in two‐way conversation with museum gallery teachers.
