Community Library Network
Log Number: ARPML-251051-OMLS-22
The Consolidated Free Library District in Post Falls, Idaho, will expand its services by providing patrons with increased digital access and resources to address workforce development needs. Access to the internet varies throughout the community, with 15 to 28 percent of residents lacking access at home. The library will purchase and circulate laptops and hotspot connections so patrons can access online resources. The library also will address local workforce development needs by providing access to job training resources that would otherwise be cost prohibitive for most patrons. Library staff will receive training on the new services and will work with local business community partners to promote them. These investments will help address job losses and the reevaluation of careers that came with COVID-19.
