Museum of the American Revolution

The Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia will expand its dedicated program offerings for children, young people, and their families in partnership with Free Library of Philadelphia. The museum aims to enrich the supportive environment for children and families who experienced additional stressors due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The museum will support the library’s drop-in afterschool program with its free “Revolution at the Library” program, featuring fun and curiosity-provoking object-, document-, and story-based activities that bring the American Revolution’s people and events to life for modern audiences. The museum also will expand its popular family program, which takes complex topics and little-known stories about the American Revolution and makes them engaging and understandable for young people.
