Yerba Buena Center for the Arts
Log Number: ARPML-251006-OMLS-22
The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts will advance the digital accessibility, framework, and offerings of their online platform, the Artist Power Center. Designed to provide relief and economic opportunities to Bay Area artists and artist enterprises who have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the more flexible, virtual platform will connect arts employers to artists. The web app platform will include customizable messaging, enhanced user profiles, and a framework for users to showcase their projects in development. Piloted last year, the new version of the program is informed by user feedback from a focus group composed of 20 BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) Bay Area artists. Through providing a clearinghouse of vital resources and economic opportunities and ensuring that offerings are accessible to the most vulnerable, the museum will assist a regional community of artists in their ongoing recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
