Lehigh University (Lehigh University Art Galleries)

Lehigh University Art Galleries in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, will provide a free Taste of Art program to weave together culture and history. The program will pair works of art from the galleries’ permanent collection with recipes from local restaurants to highlight the diverse and eclectic stories, cultures, voices, and experiences that make up the SouthSide community of Bethlehem. Interactive lectures, DIY at-home tastings, storytelling, and discussion will expand awareness of the galleries as a free resource and cultural hub, connect Lehigh University to the local community, and bolster positive socioeconomic change by spotlighting local restaurants and farmers markets particularly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. While most programs will target a general adult audience, one program per semester will target families and children and one will be offered in Spanish, for a total of eight programs.
