Log Number: ARPML-250750-OMLS-22

The Chesapeake Public Library in Virginia will advance digital inclusion for its community and promote connectivity by providing residents with safe and accessible spaces to conduct activities that COVID-19 has necessitated by done digitally, from telehealth to job interviews to continuing education. As part of "Connect Chesapeake," the library will build three privacy booths that will be free and accessible to all members. They also will train their staff in HIPAA laws in order to better assist residents, and partner with outside organizations to provide further assistance. While these services will be available to all, they will specifically target the 10 percent of residents without reliable internet, particularly those who live in BIPOC neighborhoods.
