Port Angeles Fine Arts Center

The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center in Washington will fill a gap in affordable arts education opportunities by supporting the local school district in building capacity for arts education and enrichment and providing free youth programming beyond school hours. The center will hire a director of youth programs to develop and implement enrichment programs such as field trips and after-school activities to help young people find new paths forward as they emerge from a period of isolation. The center seeks to address the academic achievement gaps that occurred due to the drop in student engagement that the country saw during the shift to online learning because the COVID-19 pandemic.
