Children's Museum of Denver

Log Number: ARPML-250694-OMLS-22

The Children’s Museum of Denver will facilitate two access initiatives for underserved populations: low sensory evenings and Museum2Go Kits. Relaunching the museum’s low sensory evenings will provide quarterly private play access events for families of young children with diverse cognitive and physical abilities. These free events use limited capacity and modified lighting and sound to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for young children with diverse cognitive and physical abilities. In partnership with Denver Human Services, the museum also will provide 1,500 Museum2Go Kits to families with young children who are experiencing homelessness during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The interactive kits include open-ended art supplies and materials to facilitate hands-on learning and exploration, as well as an activity guide with engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 8 and under.
