New Orleans Museum of Art

The New Orleans Museum of Art will hire a digital assets manager to play a key role in the museum’s ongoing efforts to expand public access to its large permanent collection via digital tools and resources. These efforts will support educators, students, and others who have been directly impacted by COVID-19. One priority for the digital assets manager position will be to substantially increase the number of collection objects that are accessible online. During the pandemic, the museum’s digital efforts were redirected to creating online programming. Now, the museum is once again able to support ongoing digital work in the upcoming year. The digital assets manager will both resolve the museum’s backlog of pre-pandemic digital processing work as well as expand the available digital material and content resulting from the pandemic and going forward.
