The Racine Art Museum (RAM) in Wisconsin will implement two targeted outreach programs for students and older adults. The RAM on the Road program delivers free, hands-on art experiences to schools via a colorfully decorated van that transports instructors, artists, and supplies to bring the museum directly to K–12 classrooms. The hands-on art projects are tied to the museum’s exhibitions and often use media not typically included in school curricula. The museum’s SPARK program provides cultural activities for people with memory loss and their caregivers. SPARK activities are presented virtually and at community centers. These free outreach programs will engage the community in a creative and positive way to allow the community to regain comfort and normalcy after the impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
