Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society

Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society in Easton, Pennsylvania, on behalf of the Lehigh Valley Passport to History committee, will coordinate and promote K–12 learning opportunities. The society will help the members of the committee—comprising 41 education and cultural institutions in Pennsylvania—by working with a web developer to design a new webpage for the Lehigh Valley Passport to History website to serve as a portal for teachers seeking history-related field trips, lesson plans, instructional videos, and resources. The society and committee will support its region’s schools as educators navigate the 2021–2022 school year and help them use the education disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic as an opportunity to encourage more schools and teachers to incorporate regional history in their instructional plans.
