IMLS at the 2024 American Association for State and Local History Annual Conference

IMLS will attend the 2024 American Association for State and Local History’s Annual Conference in Mobile, Alabama on September 11-13, 2024.

Visit our booth (#6) in the Exhibit Hall to learn about IMLS funding and programming opportunities, including:

  • Current Museum Grant Opportunities – Eight IMLS museum grant programs are currently open to applications from museums, historic sites, institutions of higher education, and more.

  • Museums for All – Museums for All, a national, branded access program, offers participating museums a way to encourage low-income families to visit museums and build lifelong museum habits.

  • National Museum Survey – This important, first-ever national survey will help museum administrators better contextualize their work among peer organizations while informing policymakers and the public about museums’ vital role in American society.

Museums for All Logo

A representative of Museums for All will be at the IMLS booth to discuss the program, a partnership between IMLS and the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) that encourages low-income families to visit museums and build lifelong museum habits.

Participating museums offer free or greatly reduced admission fees year-round to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Electronic Benefit Transfer cardholders. With a year-round open door policy, Museums for All invites low-income visitors to feel welcome at more than 1300 cultural institutions across the country.
