Mack

MaryLynn Mack is the Chief Executive Officer of Memphis Botanic Garden, a 96-acre urban garden known for exemplary horticultural and environmental enrichment. She is responsible for the vision, strategic planning and financial stewardship of this property that includes 30 specialty gardens, an Urban Forestry Center, and an Arboretum.

Mack previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes Peninsula, California, Director of Operations at Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona, and Director of Volunteers and Interns at the San Diego Natural History Museum. A past recipient of the Virginia G. Piper Fellowship, a graduate of The Getty Leadership Institute, and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, she currently serves on the Board of the American Public Gardens Association and was the Inaugural Chair of the APGA Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity, and Accessibility Committee.

Mack was a founding member of the African American Women’s Giving and Empowerment Circle. As a Board Member at the Phoenix Metropolitan YWCA, she earned the YWCA Tribute to Leadership and Black Philanthropy Institute Leadership awards.
