Washington, DC—The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) announced today four awards totaling $523,000 for Native Hawaiian Library Services.

“The four grants announced today will enhance library and information services to the Native Hawaiian community in several ways,” said Susan Hildreth, IMLS Director. “The funds we are awarding will support new projects that will provide digital literacy training, genealogy workshops, access to newly-digitized Native Hawaiian resources, and culture-based literacy activities.”
