Kanu o ka 'Aina Learning 'Ohana

Kanu o ka ‘Aina Learning ‘Ohana’s (KALO) project will contribute to educational achievement, economic development, and social well-being among Native Hawaiians in a culturally safe learning environment. KALO’s Native Hawaiian Library will improve college readiness among Native Hawaiian high school seniors and adults intending to return to college. It will also help Native Hawaiians seeking employment, a career change, or increased wages to develop career-related skills, and entrepreneurs intending to start or enhance their own businesses. The long-term impact will be increased degree attainment and increased percentages of families earning a livable wage among Native Hawaiians in target communities.
