Makah Indian Tribe

The Makah Indian Tribe will provide support to the Makah Cultural and Research Center’s (MCRC) efforts to expand and enhance access of the Robert E. Johnson and Diamond/Miller collections. MCRC archives and library staff will follow best practices to digitize collections that include field notes, index cards, audio recordings, and transcripts. They will use the newly processed and digitized resources in MCRC’s Makah Language Program for four bilingual Makah language workshops with new visual aids, word lists, and video assets to reinvigorate Makah culture, history, and language learners at every level.
