Village of Iliamna

The Village of Iliamna will purchase books, DVDs, other materials, and shelving to support its existing operations and maintain core library services for its community. It will also pay for a new computer workstation and enhanced internet for library patrons. Special attention will be given to acquiring books about Lake Clark's history and people, dictionaries of Tanaina Athabascans, and Alutiiq and Yup'ik native languages, thereby preserving and promoting local heritage. Anticipated results include a better organized and maintained library, enriched with information on local history and language resources, better serving the needs of the community. The project will provide direct benefit to the 110 tribal citizens within its project service area.
