Chilkat Indian Village

The Chilkat Indian Village will improve services for learning and accessing information in a variety of formats to support needs for education, workforce development, economic and business development, health information, critical thinking skills and other types of literacy skills. The library will also support the acquisition of library-related materials, supplies, equipment, services and fees and allow staff to receive training to continue improving skills and knowledge related to general library and archival work. The tribal members have expressed interest in participating in more cultural and community centered programing at the library, so they will continue to partner with traditional knowledge bearers and other consultants who have expertise in relevant fields to provide opportunities for in-person learning through workshops as well as asynchronous learning through short films about special topics.
