Library of Virginia

The Library of Virginia will use funds under the CARES Act to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus; to expand digital network access, purchase internet accessible devices, and provide technical support services.  They will continue to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2018-2022. Specific state goals include: 1) foster the development of the evolving neighborhood/community library as a center for lifelong learning and civic engagement; 2) facilitate access to information and the discovery of knowledge and cultural heritage for the purpose of cultivating an informed and engaged community; and 3) support the training and development of proactive library leadership and skilled staff to meet the rapidly changing environment.
