Coastal Interpretive Center

The Coastal Interpretive Center will update its current Habitat Room into an interactive Watershed Ecosystems exhibition, linking natural and human dimensions within the context of watersheds of Washington’s Pacific Coast. Center staff will purchase and install two digital touch tables and contract with an artist to paint a diorama illustrating each ecosystem of the watershed. The museum will create formative evaluations and solicit feedback from visitors, teachers, and students that will inform the final exhibition content. The new exhibition will result in an interactive and engaging display that advances STEM knowledge through informal science education, benefiting regional visitors, teachers, and students.
