Stillwater Public Library

Stillwater Public Library in Oklahoma will implement a project to increase the provision of library services to underserved populations. To reduce staff time spent on routine circulation functions, they plan to introduce radio frequency identification (RFID) tagging on all library materials. They can then refocus staff time on services and educational programming such as one-on-one computer and technology tutoring, programming for children and adults with memory impairments, and outreach visits to underserved communities—all of which nearly came to a halt during the pandemic. The library also will increase access to technology and the internet for residents who do not have access at home.
