City of Fort Worth (Fort Worth Public Library)

The City of Fort Worth in Texas will promote digital inclusion and help to bridge the digital divide for its residents. The city will provide laptop computers with internet service for use by residents who lack internet access or personal computers at home. The city also will collect and review performance trends through monthly statistical reports, find service issues and resolutions, and identify best practices and opportunities for project improvement. More people will have access to laptops, the internet, and other digital resources offered by the library. The city anticipates that the hold list for Wi-Fi devices will be filled more quickly, reducing the waiting time for the community. This program will particularly benefit economically disadvantaged populations and adults seeking workforce skill development and job placement that have been adversely affected by COVID-19.
